The LIFE BEETLES project organised a volunteer action to plant endemic species in the Lagoa do Caiado.
As well as fostering team spirit, this action made it possible to publicise the LIFE projects taking place in the Region, raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity and, above all, actively involve employees in the mission of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change concerning nature conservation.
690 trees were planted, bringing the total number of new endemic trees in Lagoa do Caiado since the start of the project to 4930!
