On 24 May, the Terceira Nature Park celebrated European Parks Day by participating in an environmental volunteer action with the LIFE BEETLES project.
To this end, employees from Terceira Environment and Climate Change Service traveled to the project’s intervention areas to carry out a volunteering activity, which involved two types of intervention. In one area, endemic species were planted along a hillside, while in the other area, seedlings of an invasive species, the Kahili Ginger (๐๐ฆ๐ฅ๐บ๐ค๐ฉ๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ ๐จ๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ข๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฎ), were removed by hand.
This action helped to raise awareness among employees of the project’s objectives, creating bonds of cooperation and strengthening teamwork within the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action.
