At the end this month, key actions took place in Flores island, contributing to the development of the LIFE BEETLES project, which the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change is in charge of.
The project managers travelled to Flores along with a representative of Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA), for training and collaboration in the works’ technical and operational analysis, namely to visit the intervention areas, capacitate the operational assistants regarding phytopharmaceuticals application and calculate direct field actions hypothesis.
There were also present representatives of the Association “Os Montanheiros”, in the context of consultancy for height works. The presence of both entities is part of the action Networking, Technical Dissemination and Transfer/Replication (E.2).
