Last week, the LIFE BEETLES team met on Flores island with the monitor of the agency NEEMO β Monitoring LIFE Projects and Communicating about the LIFE Programme for the third monitor visit of the project. Also present were members of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, the coordinating beneficiary of the project, and the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Change, the associated beneficiary.
This visit allowed assessing the current situation and progress of the LIFE BEETLES, and the needs and constraints of the project were also discussed. A visit was also made to the intervention areas where work is currently underway to control invasive flora and improve the habitat of the target species, the Ironclad Beetle (ππ’π³π±π©πͺπΆπ΄ π§ππ°π³π¦π΄π¦π―π΄πͺπ΄).
