The Mirage – cinematic art in the landscape, an exhibition whose 4th edition takes place between 18 july 20, 2024, on the island of Pico, Azores, includes film screenings in several island landscapes, outdoors. By proposing the installation of the screen in different areas of the island, the Mirage invites a re-framing of the gaze, thus placing reflection on the image, about nature and the landscape — which exists around and on the screen, as well as in space singular that arises between them.

In addition to the exhibitions, the event has a partnership with the LIFE BEETLES project, a Nature conservation developed by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Action Climate and whose main objective is to improve the size of populations, area of distribution and conservation status of 3 species of beetles endemic to the Azores.

On the 19th of July the exhibition scheduled for Lagoa do Caiado (high landscapes of Pico island) is preceded by an endemic planting voluntering action resulting from this partnership, a conversation and a dinner.
