The LIFE BEETLES project participated in the Eco-School Day celebrations at the São Roque do Pico Primary School, with a guided tour of the LIFE BEETLES: The Little Big Ones macro-photography exhibition.

The Eco-School programme is an international programme promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action at the regional level. It encourages students to make decisions and involve them in creating a more sustainable school and society.

The visit to the exhibition allowed students to become aware of the diversity of arthropod species endemic to the Azores, present in the Laurel Forest, and to better understand their contribution, not only to maintaining healthy ecosystems, but also to the benefits for society.
