World Blood Donor Day was celebrated on 14 June. To mark this date, the Terceira Island Blood Donors Association joined forces with the LIFE BEETLES project to promote well-being, health, and environmental awareness.
An interpretive trail was organised with a group of young people present, combining physical activity with environmental awareness, passing through the project’s areas of intervention, and explained the importance of protecting nature in the Azores and how this contributes to everyone’s health.
Blood donation is an act of altruism and, combined with nature protection, contributes to a better world.
